Property tax notices are mailed to owners annually in late May. Taxes are due early July. If you have not received your notice prior to June 15th, please contact the Village office for assistance.
Water and Sewer User Fees
Water and sewer user fees prepaid before the last day of February will receive a 10% discount. Notices are mailed in the Canal Flats mail boxes and published in the Canal Flats Newsletter and Village Facebook page. Individual invoices are not issued.
Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm (closed for lunch).
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, debit card, electronic funds transfer or online banking.
To set up an account for online payments through a major bank, in the “add payee” tab, search CANALFLATS (property tax). The account number will be the Roll Number located at the top right corner of your tax notice. Please use the last 10 digits of this number (with or without the decimal point depending on what your bank will allow). Disregard the “568” prefix. Please allow three days for processing time.
EFT’s can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org Please include your Roll Number and the civic address of the property in the message field.
The Village of Canal Flats is pleased to offer payments via credit card, Interac e-Transfer, In-person at a post office using cash or debit, and PayPal. This service is being offered through PaySimply.ca, a secure, third-party Canadian payment provider. All fees are paid to PaySimply and the Village of Canal Flats does not retain any portion of the fee. You will be notified of the fee amount prior to the payment being processed. You will also receive an email confirmation of your transaction including fees paid. Just click on the link below to get started. The account number will be your Roll Number as described above.
