Last month Canal Flats Fire Rescue took the time to stop by the newly opened daycare to support their Fire Safety Week.  

Children took part in a fire drill to practice their evacuation procedures and then got to visit with firefighters. 

Firefighters spoke to the children about fire safety and let them check out their real-life firetruck. Children also got their own helmets and had the chance to try on firefighting gear like jackets.  

The kids and firefighters alike loved the visit and hope to do more fire safety lessons in the future.
