Council also received a request on behalf of Podtech Data Centres to reverse a late property tax penalty. After Councillor Anora Kobza recused herself council voted to deny the request.

A grant tracker was provided to council to keep them apprised of the status of grant applications submitted by the village. The tracker is an important tool to show council, staff and residents things like steps of the grant application process and funds awarded to the village.

Council received a report about the Community Initiatives and Affected Areas Programs funded by the Columbia Basin Trust. Members were asked to consider projects they may want to see in the village. Previously, funding from the program has provided things like benches, trees, garbage cans and dog fountains for public spaces around the village.

Direction was also unanimously given to the Chief Administrative Officer to apply for grants that align with strategic priorities through the Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program.

Finally, council passed a motion asking staff to gather more information about a proposal from Rogers to construct a cell tower next to an existing tower in Canal Flats.
